Q: What is the age range to participate in the youth programs?
A: To participate in MAWIB’s youth programs you must be between the ages 14-21.

 


Q: Are there any eligibility requirements for the youth programs?
A: Yes, eligibility requirements vary from program-to-program and are determined by the funding source for the specific program.

 


Q: Can a youth participate in any of the programs if they live outside the City of Milwaukee?
A: Yes, our programs are open to youth who live throughout Milwaukee County. However, some funding sources may limit participation to youth who live in the City of Milwaukee.

 


Q: Where do I apply for a youth program I am interested in?
A: You can apply at our youth center located at 2342 N. 27th Street, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 4p.m.

 


Q: Can I apply online?
A: No, but you can download and print the application for the summer youth employment program Earn & Learn here (link). Complete the form and mail it to the specified address to receive more information.

 


Q: Do you issue work permits?
A: Yes, but to get a work permit you must bring a copy of the letter of hire, permission from a parent or guardian, proof of date of birth, and your original social security card.
